Pre-Doc Internship Opportunities

Talking to Machines is excited to welcome a small number of motivated junior researchers to join our team as interns. These internships are typically unpaid. Interns can expect to work on a variety of research projects conducted by the T2M team, while receiving mentorship, honing their research skills, and strengthening their research profile.

As an intern, you will:

  • Contribute to a range of ongoing research projects.
  • Apply and develop your analytical and computational skills (ideally in R or Python).
  • Work on tasks such as data curation, statistical analysis, data visualisation, and academic writing.
  • Benefit from close mentorship and training from the T2M team.
  • Potentially receive co-authorship on research outputs, depending on your contribution.

This role is especially suited for junior researchers (pre-doc level) who are eager to deepen their research experience in experimental and computational social sciences, while preparing for further academic study.

The internship can be conducted in person at Oxford or remotely. To express your interest to be considered for this position, please email a short cover letter and your CV to Melanie Sawers at melanie.sawers@nuffield.ox.ac.uk.
